Prior to getting sober I worked as a river guide in the Grand Canyon, ski instructor and owned a backpacking company in the Grand Canyon. I thought I had arrived... I was wrong! 

My life got real on 08/20/2002 which is the day I got sober. Since then I have completed a masters degree in counseling and worked a licensed counselor from 2006 to 2023. I have been fortunate to have worked in every counseling setting within the addictions treatment occupation.  

My recovery has taught me more than I ever could have imagined and has made it possible for me to live a life of no regrets. I have so far to go, but never thought I would be so fortunate to be where I am. Getting sober was by far the absolute best thing that has ever happened to me.

As a father, I have found my greatest joy is sharing with them what the point of life and purpose of life really are. For fun I like to ride motorcycles, row boats down rivers, ski and travel... especially to the pacific islands. I grew up a carpenters kid and had my first tool belt at age 7. Today I enjoy being able to use my hands to build whatever my heart so desires.
